Hello folks, a letter will be going out on Monday, but here is the link for our Go Fund Me: https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/our-lady-of-mercy-jersey-city
You can download the latest copy of the Sunday Bulletin here (March 22, 2019).
Dear OLM parishioners,
I hope you are doing well and safe.
In this very challenging time due to covid-19, we are united in prayer for speedy recovery.
I am aware of other churches’ live-steaming of Masses.
Here at OLM, we (Fr. Tom and Fr. Nol) decided not to have it because we are keeping the church open for you to have access to come in and pray. If we had it, we will be filled with people who want to attend once they know about it.
We are directed to avoid a crowd of more than ten people to help slow the transmission or spreading of the virus.
I encourage you, therefore, to follow Mass on TV or other available streamings online.
Let us try our best to follow what is needed to do: stay home, wash hands, maintain social distancing, and pray.
I also encourage you to help your parish finances with your financial help in the best way you could to keep your parish open.
Thank you so much and God bless you.
Lovingly yours,
+ Father Marty

Update on Worship in light of Covid-19
Cardinal Joseph Tobin issued a letter today that “beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020, and until further notice, public celebration of both Sunday Mass and daily Mass is suspended. He said that this decision comes after exhaustive discussion and with an especially heavy heart. We are asked to comply with this directive to protect all of us, the faithful, and our own health. Public celebration of the Sacraments and other public forms of worship are also suspended until further notice. This includes, but is not limited to previously scheduled Confirmations, celebrations of First Communion, penitential services, Communion services, and Liturgies of the Word.”
Please visit https://www.rcan.org/covid19 for the most up-to-date information.
Brothers and sisters, in this challenging time in our life let us continue to pray that this will be over as soon as possible. Let us cooperate to what is right to do.
Thank you, be safe and God bless us all.
+ Father Marty
