Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy:
I hope all is well.
I want to welcome, first of all, to our Christian world Sophie Logan Allen-Vesey who was baptized this past weekend at the community of Our Lady of Sorrows. With our support and prayers, together with her parents and godparents, may she grow in wisdom and love of God and the ways of our Catholic Faith.
We also had a nice prayer service at Our Lady of Sorrows as we part our ways. As we all know, any breakup is sad. Let us hold one another in prayer and in any way we can. In the name of Our Lady of Mercy community, I wholeheartedly thank Our Lady of Sorrows community in putting up that prayer service and for the fellowship prepared. It was emotional for many of us to the point where there were no more words we can utter at that moment. And looking at the event, it was a very nice way and gesture for everyone to be there and enjoy each other’s company. Our Lady of Mercy will continue to support Our Lady of Sorrows.
As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, let us ask our Triune God to empower our lives and help us to face all the challenges this life gives us. We need all the help we need in our daily struggles. And it’s not only us that need help but also the whole world. We are in a world of turmoil that we don’t feel secure anymore. More often now we hear attacks of our adversary in many forms. Let us pray without ceasing my dear brothers and sisters. And let us try our best to secure our lives and the lives of others.
Speaking of securing our lives, let me gently remind you of the upcoming Jersey City Together meeting that will take place on Monday, June 12th at the OLM Maria Room. This is one of the ways to help keep our environment safe and beautiful. Let your voice be heard.
Thank you and God bless you all!
