Update on Worship in light of Covid-19
Cardinal Joseph Tobin issued a letter today that “beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020, and until further notice, public celebration of both Sunday Mass and daily Mass is suspended. He said that this decision comes after exhaustive discussion and with an especially heavy heart. We are asked to comply with this directive to protect all of us, the faithful, and our own health. Public celebration of the Sacraments and other public forms of worship are also suspended until further notice. This includes, but is not limited to previously scheduled Confirmations, celebrations of First Communion, penitential services, Communion services, and Liturgies of the Word.”

Brothers and sisters, in this challenging time in our life let us continue to pray that this will be over as soon as possible. Let us cooperate to what is right to do.
Thank you, be safe and God bless us all.
+ Father Marty

Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., the Archbishop of Newark, celebrated Mass in a small Newark chapel last March 15, 2020 for a live social media broadcast intended to nourish the faithful effected by the suspension of Sunday Mass amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Here is the recorded video if you missed the mass.
The Cardinal also offered words of hope and reassurance to those who are confused or frightened amid the Coronavirus pandemic. He said that fear of the unknown is natural. Here is the link.
